That's why it's good to know that, at Fatima Hospital, there's a special place for the elderly who face a mental health issue. Our newly renovated 21-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit offers the best care for seniors who are coping with changes in mental status, depression, mood disorder or dementia.

Our staff of board certified geriatric psychiatrists works with a team of experienced, compassionate nurse professionals, including advanced practice registered nurses, as well as therapists and other support staff, to provide short-term stabilization or more comprehensive treatment for patients in a warm and reassuring environment.

Just as important is that, as an acute care hospital, we provide direct access to care for the serious medical issues that often accompany aging, such as diabetes, chronic heart disease, or cerebrovascular issues.
